Tonya Lawson serves as our Director of Children’s Ministries. She is originally from California, but she got to Arizona as fast as she could by way of Kansas, Texas, Georgia, Texas again, and finally Arizona. She has been married to Scott for 24 years and God has blessed them with two sons, Kyle, age 21, and Zack, age 15. They also have a Silky Terrier named Duke and a Shiba Inu mix named Bubba.
Tonya attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas where she majored in Christian Education. In addition to her work with FBC, she homeschools Zack. For fun and relaxation, she likes to read, quilt, bargain hunt and spend time with her family.
Some day, Tonya and her husband hope to retire in the Rim Country of Arizona.
