Ray Jones

Ray Jones FBC 2016Rev. Ray C. Jones serves the Lord at First Baptist, Chandler in the role as Pastor of Student Ministries, ministering to the Junior & Senior High students of the congregation and their families. He serves the Chandler-Gilbert community as a volunteer with many great organizations, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Hamilton & Basha High Schools).

Pastor Ray’s lovely wife Neystal (Neicy) is a native of Fort Worth, Texas, and earned her undergraduate pre-law degree in legal communications at Howard University in Washington D.C., she has an extensive background in executive non-profit management, grant writing and estate management. She currently is the Development Director at Legacy Global Foundation in Mesa. Olivia was added to their family December 11, 2011 and is the joy of their hearts. Like her parents, she is the life of the party.

Pastor Ray, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force, where he answered his call to ministry in 2003. Following this, Ray received his Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry & Leadership from Dallas Christian College in Dallas, Texas. Ray then earned his Master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University in Liberal Arts, with an emphasis on Christian Studies and a minor in Business Management.

Pastor Ray, a third generation Baptist pastor, has been involved in Student ministry for over fifteen years. He has served the church additionally in other capacities as well, but has a unique passion for students. He is an expository preacher and preaches exegetically throughout the books of the Bible, sharing its genuine relevance in context as scripture demands. His message is rooted and grounded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, because it has the power to save. In his own witty, yet impacting way, Ray preaches; teaches the word of God to and shepherds the Students of FBC. “I believe the FBC Chandler family is the perfect place for students to grow and build a foundation, leading to a productive life, as a servant leader in their church, as well as in their community.”
