In May of 2003 I had the great joy and honor of becoming the pastor of First Baptist. We have been here for a decade. That is 3653 days! Jerri and I have had three of our children graduate from high school here. Our oldest daughter was married at FBC and our youngest child was baptized in a horse trough behind Hamilton High School when our church was meeting there since we had no building of our own.
It has been a wonderful ten years and God has done so many amazing things. We look forward to the next decade of serving with you.
To celebrate our tenth anniversary at FBC Jerri and I are taking vacation time plus a couple of extra weeks this summer to go to Europe and the Holy Land. Pray for her – she is going to be drug to a bunch of church history and WWII sites listening to me ramble on about their historical significance.
Dr. David Johnson from Golden Gate will be preaching for me on the Sundays we are gone.
These have been the best 10 years of our lives and we pray God grants us an even better decade ahead. We thank you for being the most awesome church in the world and giving us the opportunity to fulfill a dream.
