Mark your calendars for VBS 2013 iGo Green! During the week of June 10 from 6:00 – 9:00 each night, it’s all about recycling and taking care of God’s world! Since the theme is recycling, many of our supplies will be recycled, and we could use some of the following donations:
5 cans shaving cream (foam kind – not gel)
TONS of cornstarch (really… TONS… TRUCKLOADS!)
100 disposable razors
Food coloring (any color)
10 rolls of crepe paper (streamers – any colors)
100 clean, large, unused pizza boxes
5 rolls plastic wrap
5 rolls aluminum foil
30 jars baby food (fruit and dessert flavors)
CLEAN, empty milk or water jugs
Empty Pringles cans (tall, circular, no oval)
CLEAN yogurt containers (individual size – any brand)
Empty Kleenex boxes (square or rectangle)
If you were unable to attend the meeting last month, but you would like to be involved, please contact Tonya. Our theme this year is recycling and caring for God’s world. If we can teach kids an attitude of love and care for creation, they can understand and believe in the Creator. May this year’s VBS recognize that they are “without excuse” when they see God’s handiwork all around them. Children who have already accepted Christ as their Savior will develop a respect for God’s creation and understand our obligation to be good stewards of it.
