The year was 1913 and a handful of brave souls followed God’s leading and started a church in a small desert community. Over the next century that church grew, built a series of buildings in several locations, and was blessed and used by God to touch their city. That small desert community grew into a major city located on the edge of the Phoenix area.
The city? Chandler, Arizona. The church? First Baptist. That’s right – our church is 100 years old this year. We have several events planned for this year to celebrate our centennial. I hope you will be able to join us for as many as possible. Those few people who started FBC had no idea what God would do in the future – we stand on their shoulders and praise God for their vision and courage. This is a year to celebrate our great God and all He has done in the life of our church for 100 years.
