Forever Love

“Forever Love” exists to provide fellowship, fun and ministring to woman that has been married and now finds herself in a “bereft” (meaning of the original Greek word for widow in I Timothy 5:5) situation because of the loss of her husband.

Building Update

Phase 2 Building Update

In March 2006 construction was completed on our multi-purpose building. We were excited to finally meet in our own building, but quickly realized that we needed more space for Bible study, youth meetings, fellowship functions and other activities, so the following steps have been taken.

Contractor selected — Fall 2009
Building permits approved by City of Chandler — January 2010
Bond Issue — See below
Begin Construction — See below
Complete Construction — Pending

The necessary financial audits were completed and submitted to Rives, Leavell & Co. RLC will print the bond prospectus and submit it to the Arizona securities regulators for approval. Once the bond issue and prospectus are approved, RLC can begin selling the bonds. First Baptist Church and friends have the exclusive right to buy bonds for seven days.

After that, RLC will begin marketing the bonds to their clients.
Once we have sold $1.4M of the bonds we will be able to use those funds to start construction of the new building.

FBC Bond Information
Please keep in mind that our bonds will be available for purchase in the near future.
Fixed interest rates: 3.25% – 7.20%
simple and deferred compound
Term: 6 months – 30 years

Purchases will be made directly from the issuer. Our members and friends will have exclusive rights to buy the bonds for the first seven days. Upon approval of the Arizona security regulators, the prospectus will be made available

Arizona Mission Offering

Arizona Mission Offering
Every year in September, Arizona Southern Baptist churches give to the Arizona Mission Offering. The offering provides additional support beyond the Arizona Southern Baptist
Convention budget for missions and ministries aimed at sharing the gospel with those who don’t know Christ.
Offering Goal: $150,000
First Baptist Chandler Goal: $3,000
This year our Arizona Mission Offering will fund…Church Planting, 35%
Disaster Relief, 25%
Christian Challenge
Collegiate Ministries, 20%
Crossover Arizona, 10%
Ministers in Crisis, 10%
Week of Prayer: September 12-19
Prayer is essential! Please pray that we exceed our goal and will be able to impact the entire state and future generations.

“As a counselor at the Crisis Pregnancy Center I am passionate about this ministry. It exists to glorify God and we do that through educating, counseling, giving, and most important–sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
No matter what the situation is, no matter if it is a crisis or not, the greatest crisis any of us will face is that we will all die one day and give an account to God for our life. Without the live giving message of the gospel, then we would just be another social agency doing good things.
Jesus Christ is our only hope for salvation. He is the One who transforms hearts and minds, so I personally love the fact that not only do we educate and try and meet their physical and emotional needs, but we also care about their spiritual needs and love them enough to tell them the truth.
This ministry is not federally funded so we rely on your support. Please help us continue to love, provide, care, share, and save lives!

We are team “First Baptist Chandler” and of course that is our church name too so it should be easy to fill out the form.

They automatically provide you with a very simple website that your friends, family and coworkers can go to and sponsor you as well as the capability to share it via email, facebook, twitter etc.J I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is and I think you will be too!!!

The pledge form you have with you can be used for those who don’t have computer access or someone that you may ask in person to sponsor you. There are more forms downloadable at the website if you need it.

I am thinking about possibly getting us all matching shirts…let me know if you are interested in that.

We need workers. Will you please consider how the Lord may be leading you to in response to our Awana’s program?

AWANA has resumed Sunday, August 22! We would love to have YOU, youth, adult, or senior adult. Please join us at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings to help children of all ages learn God’s Word while having a lot of fun. We Offer Awana’s for three age groups;

Cubbies: Ages 3-5
Sparks: Ages 5-9
Truth & Training: Ages 9-13

All Meeting times are Sunday evenings from 4:00 – 5:45. They run concurrent with the school year.
