Can you help Maria with her problem? Maria Cholley (daughter of Marilyn & Bob Pamblanco) has participated in the 3-Day/60-Mile breast cancer walk for the last 4 years. She has been training all year to participate in her 5th walk for breast cancer in Phoenix on November 11th. But sadly she is about $900 short of the funds she must raise in order to participate in the walk. Saturday, October 8, It will be at 2:00 PM this Saturday with the doors open at 1:30PM The movie Courageous will be starting in theatres on October 1.  The church has reserved a Harkins theatre at Superstition Springs for Saturday, October 8 to view this movie. Isaac Watts

Isaac Watts is known as “the father of English hymnody.” As a young man he became increasingly disturbed by the uninspiring psalm singing in the English churches. They only sang songs that came directly from the book of Psalms in the Bible. Concerning that type of singing he said, “The singing of God’s praise is the part of worship most closely related to heaven; but its performance among us is the worst on earth.” During his life, Isaac Watts wrote over 600 hymns.
